I’m a Black Poem. I’m not a poet per se…just the poem. But I am definitely a writer. And a reader. And a critic. I’m also a black woman…A proud woman. A woman period. Not a republican. Not a democrat. But before all this I’m a Christian. Note, I said Christian not perfect. There is a difference. I like right and not wrong. But sometimes what’s wrong is right and what’s right is wrong and sometimes you can’t tell what’s right from what’s wrong or what’s wrong from what’s right (I guess I could’ve just said “and vice versa” huh?) and then I’m forced to make selfish decisions. If it doesn’t make me happy, then I don’t do it. That’s a fact. And I’m blessed…so blessed! Hmmm…more about me…Oh, yes! I must tell you, I don’t necessarily like periods, I prefer commas and … (I can’t remember what these are called but I’ll resort to calling them “dot dot dots” for the moment). But so as not to confuse you I’ll use periods, ugh, whatever. But the most important part of this whole damn thing is that I’m here today when I sure don’t have to be: Like Lil Wayne says, “you ain’t neva too alive to die.” <— I can’t believe I just quoted Lil Wayne

They’re called ellipses… they have to be my favorite type of punctuation. I speak in random run-on sentences in real life so why not continue it into my online life?
