I think I think too much

This may be one of the most intimate poems I’ve ever written, it’s actually a part of my “life” story right now, unfortunately. I live in a place where I feel trapped and I wish I could be elsewhere, someplace much better of course. Have you ever felt like you’d rather be anywhere, but where you are? It’s hard to stay focused and keep your mind on the Lord when so much negativity and animosity are everywhere you go! I don’t want to complain. I just need guidance, comfort, and peace.

Who are you?

You’re not who you used to be.

What sucks the most is you made a change -

and you didn’t even grow.

Not only that,

but you didn’t even have the decency to let me know

that you were changing – into someone/thing else.

I would’ve left, moved on, done my own thing.

Instead, I’m stuck here – lost and wondering

what the hell happened?

Where did  I go wrong?

You live in the past

Living with you, got me suckin on that glass

bottle.

Everything used to be good.

Life was going full speed, full throttle

Parties, love, late nights, loud music

Our lives were great – our…lives…were…perfect…

Look at us now?

Girl it bes like that sometime. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing that is Writing. I love the line, “Living with you, got me suckin on that glass bottle.” People and situations will drain the energy from you and you’ll feel just as you stated.
